Castles in the Sky – The WWII Radar Station on North Hill

Hill Road, North Hill, Minehead, Somerset, TA24 5LB

Castles in the Sky was the name given by Winston Churchill and others to the ring of radar stations that surrounded Britain’s coastline during the Second World War. Come along and see one of the last surviving ‘castles in the sky’ as part of Heritage Open Days 2015.

Follow Hill Road, pass the caravan site entrance and when on the moor, look for the car park on the right. Please park in public car park at OS Grid Ref: SS 9537 4748 and follow temporary signs to radar station.
