New Wildlife Projects for 2014 – 2016

January 2014 sees the launch of two new wildlife projects on Exmoor; the New Ecologists and the Changing Moorland.

Each project aims to enable people to be actively involved with the conservation and monitoring of the habitats and species of Exmoor National Park’s mires, rivers, moors and coastal heath.

New Ecologists

This project aims to inspire and engage people of all ages in surveying and monitoring Exmoor’s moorland biodiversity.

The Changing Moorland

This project will involve practical conservation at vulnerable moorland sites, with a focus on the ‘cutting edge’ where moorland change is happening.
