STOP PRESS – free skills training on offer!

800ep-grazingheather4575©jasonpballAre you interested in learning the skills of stock-watching? Would you like to help monitor Exmoor ponies which helps to inform their management and support their welfare? The Moorland Mousie Trust are going to run a FREE training workshop about stock-watching for volunteers, students and moorland managers.

Although the focus is the moorland herds of ponies, some of the skills and knowledge will transfer to other animals. The workshop will take place at the Exmoor Farmers’ Cutcombe Market, at Wheddon Cross, not far from Minehead. The workshop starts at lunchtime. There will be an opportunity to speak with a range of experienced herd managers at the ‘Meet the Herds’ event that afternoon.

Please call 01398 323093 or email ponyofficer@moorlandmousietrust.org.uk to book your place.

Thanks to our Defra / EAFRD and Lottery funders for enabling this!
