Dark Skies photo competition – Exmoor Magazine

Exmoor National Park is becoming famous for its awesome and pure night skies – free of light pollution – since it was named as Europe’s first International Dark Sky Reserve. This has attracted the BBC to come to Exmoor as part of their Stargazing Live TV event on 18 January 2012, and the topic has inspired Exmoor Magazine.

Exmoor Magazine’s winter issue (out now!) has a special feature all about it, and is running a Dark Skies photo competition. Why not try your hand at some nocturnal photography? You had better get started – the deadline is 5th January 2012.

Remember – Exmoor’s moorland has some of the very darkest nightscapes.
