Simonsbath Sawmill – volunteers

An extract from the April 2011 newsletter for Exmoor Conservation Volunteers

Simonsbath Sawmill

We have a new regular day running around Simonsbath. These will be running on the first and third Mondays of each month plus occasional extra days.

The idea of this group is to look after the Simonsbath Sawmill keeping the building in good repair and helping to lead guided tours around. We will also be using the site as a base to run other events in the area including archeological surveying and dry stone walling.

There will be an open day there on Tuesday 31st May between 10:00 and 15:00 hrs. Pop in for a cup of tea to find out more.

All of these events can be booked via www.exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk/volunteers then go the Volunteers Booking Form

If you have any problems accessing the Volunteers Booking Form please feel free to contact me in the normal way by email pwatts-mabbott@exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk or by phone on 07973727469.

Also if you happen that way inclined you can now follow the ‘Exmoor Conservation Volunteers’ on facebook.  Post messages, photos, etc, of volunteering activity.  The main reason for setting this up is to try to encourage new volunteers to get involved with what we do – so the more information existing volunteers can post on the page, the better we look to new recruits!
