Great day at Pinkery

Jason Ball on the heartofexmoor blog

We had a great time at Pinkery outdoor education centre today, working with the centre manager Dave Huxtable and the brilliant National Park Rangers to run an educational day for Kingsmead School.

David Rolls, our Moorland Education and Outreach Officer, and I learned how to lead some of the activities. Our volunteer Kate Scott is more experienced, and helped to show us the ropes!

Pinkery is located on moorland, far from the hustle and bustle of town. The place offers a real chance to leave the school environment behind and take a fresh attitude to participation and learning by doing.

Pinkery is also a registered YHA hostel.
